Homemade Pizza & Margaritas

Saturday night we dove into the lovely pool of domesticity & made 2 pizzas as well as popped open 2 bottles of wine, & prepared blended margaritas. Nina & Young purchased some of the pizza ingredients at Ralphs and then picked up the rest at one of my personal favorites, Trader Joes. The list of pizza ingredients includes: Boboli pizza crust, Trader Giotto's pizza sauce, fresh spinach, mushrooms, and onions, grilled chicken, bbq sauce, pepper, and mozzarella cheese. We evenly layered the pizza ingredients on top of the sauce covered crust & then put the uncooked pies in the oven to bake for around 10-15 minutes, keeping a close eye on the progress of each pizza. The pizzas turned out perfect; in fact better than expected. The crust was crisp but still doughy, the cheese was melted perfectly over the layers of freshly washed spinach, mushrooms, and onions as well as tender grilled chicken seasoned exquisitely with bbq sauce and lightly sprinkled with pepper. The margarita ingredients include: ice, Jose Cuervo tequila, & Jose Cuervo strawberry margarita mix. We originally looked up the tequila/margarita mix ratio on google but decided to be rebellious & use our best judgement instead & were more than successful. The margaritas turned out icy & delicious. The 2 bottles of wine featured are: Barefoot White Zinfandel & Barefoot Pinot Grigio. The end results were nothing short of delicious. I have to say that making food with the freshest of ingredients & knowing exactly what we were eating was quite satisfying & helped me to enjoy the finished product THAT much more. Grease free is definitely the way to be ;)

Heartstop at The Roxy, KROQ Locals Only

Thursday night we went to see Heartstop perform at the Roxy in Hollywood on Sunset Blvd for the KROQ Locals Only concert. I've personally known these boys for years and they are truly talented, entertaining, and just overall amazing people. They've already been voted #1 on the KROQ Locals Only countdown & have shared the stage with other great bands such as Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, After Midnight Project, Mickey Avalon, A Cursive Memory, Say Anything, and many more. Check them out on facebook, twitter, & also at heartstoprock.com!

Spring Has Sprung

“I am against fashion that is perishable. I cannot accept that you throw away dresses just because it’s spring.”
